BECOMING A CERTIFIED DIVING INSTRUCTOR

At Lady Go Dive we offer you the opportunity to turn your favorite hobby into a challenging, fascinating and rewarding profession - a certified diving instructor.

Advanced Open Water certified divers have the opportunity to participate in a 5-STEP training program in which the last step provides the diver with a certificate of a diving instructor.


FIRST STEP - FIRST AID AND CPR

This course provides you the basic medical knowledge that is a preparation for the rescue course. The course includes 6 hours of studying and practicing First Aid and Oxygen care.

SECOND STEP - LIFEGUARD DIVER

This course develops the ability to manage underwater and surface emergencies.

Duration: 2 days

Number of dives: 5

Subjects: Identification and treatment of respiratory emergencies, exhaustion, surfacing an unconscious diver, CPR, self - rescue.

Prerequisites:

certified Advanced O/W diver
First Aid and CPR course at known organization
Age 15 and up
Practical and theoretical acceptance exams


THIRD STEP - DIVEMASTER

This course is for individuals who have embraced diving as a hobby and wish to develop better skills and deeper knowledge.

Duration: 7 days

Number of dives: 15

Subjects: Navigation, Search and rescue, free-dive, depth diving, handling emergencies, treatment and maintenance of equipment, Night dive, Physics and physiology of diving, dive planning using tables and computer.

Prerequisites: age 15 and up, Advanced Open Water certified diver, experience of at least 40 logged dives.

FOURTH STEP - INSTRUCTOR PREPERATION COURSE

In order to begin this course you must complete 25 additional dives. In order to complete the dives, Lucky Divers will provide the equipment and give you the option of joining the daily guided dives.
This course is intended for those interested in doing the Diving Instructor course and who are not qualified as DIVEMASTER or as ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR.

This course is recommended to divers who have completed their DIVEMASTER or ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR course A year ago or more and wish to continue their instructor qualification.

Prerequisites:

Experience of at least 50 logged dives
Qualification as a medic first aid
Qualification as a lifeguard diver
Qualification as a master scuba diver


Duration: 5 days

Number of dives: 10

Subjects: still and open water lesson training, snorkel-mask-fin lesson training, briefing still and open water lessons, problem solving in still and open water dives, introduction with the evaluation pages in the instructor course, preparation for ability tests, physics and physiology of diving, dive planning with tables and computer, using fixing and maintenance of diving equipment, training of a refresh dive, training of a rescue lesson, training of a navigation lesson, training of an academic lesson from the Open Water course.

FIFTH STEP - DIVING INSTRUCTOR COURSE

An additional 40 dives must be completed in order to begin the diving instructor course.

These dives may be completed as participation as a viewer in the Open Water and Advanced O/W courses that together contain 16 dives. Another option is to carry out the center's guided dives - we will provide you with the equipment.

Duration: 9 days.

Main subjects: the principals of being an instructor, lessons, practical work in pool and sea.

Exam period: 3 days.


Acceptance:


age 18 and up.
Dive Master qualification or NAUI PREP
Basic CPR course
Diver for at least a year.
At least 100 logged dives.
Passing score at practical and theoretical entrance exams. Medical check signed by a dive-doctor Participation as a viewer in at least one O/W course and one Advanced O/W course.
